Possible Causes Why Your Scottie is Refusing to Eat:

Disliking of new food if changing dog food
Behavioral reasons (new home, new animal/new person in the house, stress)
Parasites
Diseases of the digestive system (esophagus, stomach, intestine, liver, pancreas) and other organs

Treatment:

Call your vet if your Scottish terrier continues to refuse food.

If you switched to new diet, change your Scottish terrier's dog food gradually (meaning in the beginning, mix with mostly old kind of dog food, few days later keep increasing proportions of the old kind with the new kind).

Keep the junk food (snacks, dog treats, bones, etc.) to the minimum to avoid unhealthy eating habits. Your Scottie could be having attitude and trying to get more tasty treats out of you instead of eating good and nutritious food.
